Nayla Ponce

Asst. Director/Stage Manager

Born in San Jose and raised in Gilroy, Nayla Ponce is delighted to be part of ASMS’s—and her very first—Spring production, “Rising,” contributing to the play as Stage Manager/Asst. Director. She is in the eighth grade, and takes pleasure in participating in her community, being a member of CJSF, Leadership, and serving as Solorsano’s school president. When she isn’t studying or getting together with her family and friends, you can find Nayla enjoying art (ex: music, film, poetry), or doing some online shopping! She thanks her parents for always allowing her to follow her heart, and her brother and friends for supporting her. “You can do anything as long as you set your mind to it.”

Manager, Costumes Hair & Makeup

Meet June Sousa, a spirited and lively seventh grader from Solorsano, making her debut as a Costume, Hair, and Makeup Manager! While this is her first time managing CHM, June has already dazzled onstage in Snow White and the Seven Dwarves (as Grumpy the Dwarf) and in skits with her Girl Scout friends. When she’s not bringing her infectious energy to the theater, June can be found competing in Gymkhana rodeos or diving into captivating fantasy novels. She’s beyond excited to join the talented ASMS theater team and can't wait to help make this production truly shine!
