Director's Note: This show has been an absolute delight to direct. When Mr. DuBois and I first saw Disaster! on Broadway in 2016, we knew it was a show we wanted to bring to the stage at Shreve, and it has lived up to our expectations! Disaster! has created many unique opportunities for problem solving, and allowed us all to develop new skills and explore new talents. This cast has made this process easy and fun! They are all so truly talented, and so supportive of each other. It's always nice to watch a little family come together out of group of kids, many of whom were strangers at our table read in January. During my second year as Drama Club sponsor, we had a student accompanist for an evening of short scenes that the students performed. After a few rehearsals, he said to me, "I really like this group. You're like this strange little family." Since then, our family has grown, and that saying has become our unofficial motto. (Our official motto, if you were wondering, is "Tell a story. Have fun!") It has been an honor and a priviledge sharing our passion for musical theater with so many great students over the years.
