Ravil Atlas - Artistic Director
Ravil has been creating and leading music and theatrical productions since his arrival in Christchurch in 2009. After a long career as a professional soloist in opera, concert and musical theatre (including Broadway shows Les Miserables and Phantom of the Opera), Ravil retired in 2007 and took up teaching, directing and research.
In New Zealand, he has sung for The CSO, Showbiz, and Southern Opera. As a conductor, he has worked with the New Zealand Youth Choir, The New Zealand Opera, The CSO, The Vocal Collective, and Showbiz and many concerts with Atlas Voices. His passion for theatre and music drives his work with Ovation Theatre and particularly with young people. This is also reflected in his Greenstone Academy classes.

Gavin Hurley - Musical Director
Gavin graduated from the University of Sheffield with a Bachelor of Music with Honours. After 20 years in education Gavin has recently completed studies in Applied Psychology where his areas of interest included anxiety in performing artists.
Previous musical direction credits include; ‘Into The Woods’ (Ovation Theatre), ‘42nd Street’, ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’ (NCMS), ‘Heathers’, ‘Spamalot’ (Luminaires), ‘Bugsy Malone’ (Elmwood Players), ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ (Sheffield, UK), ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’, ‘Alice in Wonderland’ (Gloucestershire, UK), ‘We Will Rock You’ and ‘Les Miserables’ (Reading, UK).

Mia Bringans - Choreographer
Mia is a Christchurch based performer who is recent graduate from NASDA where she obtained Bachelor of Music Theatre. She is a vocal student with Ravil Atlas and currently dances with JK Performing Arts. She is also a part of the tutoring team at Greenstone Academy where she teaches a range of performance skills to a variety of different ages.
Some of Mia’s recent stage credits include, Cats, Me & My Girl, Freaky Friday, Honk Jr., Showbiz’s Way Off Broadway, NASDA’s Luminate and The Wizard of Oz.
