The Trail to Oregon! - April 12

The Garage Group

 End Notes

Notes from the Director

My cast and I have worked for hours and hours on this production, and I can say with confidence that these actors are the best people I have ever worked on a project with. I've been obsessed with StarKid for years now, and what started as an opportunity to do a small show with a few friends in a garage has blossomed into something of this scale, which is amazing. I do not have the capacity to write how proud I am of everyone who has worked on this with me, but to list a few names: Pat Brady- licenser, Brian Allensworth- dad and set builder, Ian Johnson- friend and Co-Founder of this production, Heather Eddy- vocal teacher and inspirational director, Carrie Colton- amazing director and generous donor of the theatre, Kayla McPherson- fearless costumer and amazing friend, the list goes on. Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to put this on, and I hope we can do this again with no virus. Break a leg, everyone!

A few personal notes to the actors;

Hannah- Thank you for bringing positive energy to the space even after bad days. You dance like no one's watching, a skill I one day hope to have. You inspire me, Hannah, and thank you for being the best mother. Not only a mom in our show but the mom of the cast. -G

Maya- Cannibalistic best friend, thank you so much for making everyone laugh and keeping spirits up. Whenever you sing, your voice lights up the room, and I am very pleased to have such a talented vocalist in the cast. You are one of the best people I know, so keep smiling and eating children. -G

Julia- You are the most responsible, kind, and careful person I know. You keep our cast on its feet, always keeping us on task. You would make a great director. Thank you for being an amazing, helpful friend, and always reminding me that math isn't that hard. I hope to bake with you again someday soon! -G

Zeca- Thank you for being the most flexible person in the cast, and the funniest actor. Whenever you play Grandpa, something comes over me and I can't stop laughing. Even when you missed four rehearsals when you got COVID, you stayed on your feet and adjusted with ease. Thank you so much. -G

Mateo- You are the funniest person in the cast. Whenever I have a bad day, I can't wait to see you, rolling around on stage, and being the most confident person you can be. We share all the same interests and I couldn't be happier to have you in our cast and in our lives. -G

Break a Leg, and praise Nicotine! (it's a chicken, not the drug) inside jokes lol
