    Awadagin Pratt

    Awadagin Pratt is acclaimed for his musical insight and intensely involving performances in recital and with symphony orchestras. He began studying piano at the age of six. Three years later, having moved to Normal, Illinois with his family, he also began studying violin. At the age of 16 he entered the University of Illinois where he studied piano, violin, and conducting. He subsequently enrolled at the Peabody Conservatory of Music where he became the first student in the school’s history to receive diplomas in three performance areas – piano, violin and conducting. Mr. Pratt has appeared with the New York Philharmonic, Minnesota Orchestra and the Pittsburgh, Atlanta, Baltimore, St. Louis, National, Detroit and New Jersey symphonies and in Japan, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Poland, Israel, Columbia and South Africa. Summer festival engagements include appearances at Ravinia, Blossom, Wolftrap, Caramoor and Aspen and the Hollywood Bowl.

    Brian Sharp

    Brian is thrilled to be back for his fourth partnership with MVSO having directed Les Miserables, Fiddler on the Roof and A Night of Rogers and Hammerstein previously. Brian is a full-time Realtor and Director of Market Development for Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Professional Realty. Brian is actively involved in the Dayton community serving on numerous nonprofit Boards. Brian has acted in dozens of productions and has directed over 30 productions in the area. 

  • James Johnston

    James Johnston enjoys a varied career as a conductor, performer, arranger and teacher. He has been the Conducting Assistant of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra and founding Music Director of the Southern Indiana Youth Symphony. He studied at Bucknell University, the New England Conservatory, Jacobs School of Music, the Pierre Monteux School, and the Aspen Music School.

  • Sandra Muskopf-Hyde

    After a professional dance career, Sandra is now continuing her mission as Mrs. Ohio USA helping others become their best selves as President of the Etiquette School of Ohio.
