The Matilda Jr! the Musical Production Team would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported our first musical as a combined College.
We are especially grateful to our College Principal, Mrs Janelle Agius and her Senior Leadership Team, whose encouragement and support have made this new chapter possible. Thanks also go to the many staff who worked behind the scenes — from front of house, backstage, to costumes, sets, and logistics.
Our office, administration, and facilities staff deserve particular mention for their tireless help with printing, advertising, moving equipment, passing on messages, organising students, and patiently answering the same questions over and over again. Melanie Camilleri, our Arts Teaching Assistant, has kept us organised, coordinated, and moving forward — often taking on every job in between. We are also grateful to the teachers who supervised rehearsals, covered classes, and supported students throughout this process.
We are proud to acknowledge our Consulting Choreographers: Georgia Attard, Shontae Minniecon, and Regan Walker. These College Alumni began their journey in musical theatre right here at St Patrick's College, and have gone on to build careers in the industry, living their best lives and dreams. Their willingness to return and share their expertise with our students has been a full-circle moment, and we are so thankful for their contribution.
We also thank the families for their endless support: the lifts to rehearsals, the encouragement, the costuming, the snacks, and all the behind-the-scenes cheerleading. Kennedy Amplifier Hire Service and Dylan Waterson have managed the staging, lighting, and sound equipment throughout the production, ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes as our talented technician. And, as always, the Mackay Musical Comedy Players have also been wonderfully generous in providing sets, props, and costumes, and we are grateful for their partnership.
To our remarkable students — cast, dancers, crew, and ushers — you are the beating heart of this production. Your energy, resilience, and dedication have shaped every rehearsal and every performance. Together, you have created something unforgettable.
Finally, a very special thank you must go to Director, Tania Attard, the driving force and visionary behind this production. She has organised, constructed, collected, sewn, printed, and inspired at every turn. More than that, she brought together this creative team and believed in what was possible. Quite simply, this show could not have happened without her.
And so, to our students: this is your triumph. Every challenge overcome, every moment of laughter, and every ounce of hard work has led to tonight. You are the reason we do this, and we could not be prouder.
When you give young people a stage, they’ll always find a way to turn the noise into music, and the mess into magic.
